Virginia Therapist Recounts Gun-Point Encounter with ICE Agents

The incident, captured on her dashboard camera, shows the moment one agent leveled a firearm at her after she had been shouting at the officers.

What Molina Saw and Did

Molina was in Bailey’s Crossroads visiting immigration attorneys for her professional work when she witnessed ICE agents apprehending two Latino men. She described watching them being handcuffed and led toward an unmarked vehicle, an event she noted was not captured on her camera.

“So, I rolled down my window and was like, ‘you guys are messed up,'” Molina told WUSA.

Continuing toward her appointment, Molina spotted additional agents. Her dashcam footage reveals her calling out, “You’re a hoe” and “you’re f**ked up” to the officers. She later explained via Instagram that she reversed her car to avoid drawing attention to the nearby law office, where she suspected immigrants might be present.

“I decided to pull into a parking spot, pull out, and just go on my merry way when I got blocked in by one of the ICE agents,” she stated at a Wednesday news conference.

The Confrontation Escalates

According to both her dashcam and phone recordings, masked federal agents arrived in a gray SUV directly ahead of her. One officer shouted, “are you following us?” and accused her of nearly hitting them. An agent then threatened arrest and pointed a gun in her direction, with the weapon remaining drawn for much of the encounter.

“I’m a legal citizen,” Molina responded, adding, “Run you over when? I got recording! I got dashcam! I got dashcam! That’s a lie … I never tried to run you over.”

Molina explained that she felt the dynamic shift once she began recording on her cell phone, noting that the agent’s claim she was attempting to run them over was inaccurate.

“That is not the case. I was actually trying to leave,” Molina said during the news conference.

DHS Response and Statistics

A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson characterized Molina as “an anti-ICE agitator” who drove “in circles around our ICE officers and then attempted to harm officers by weaponizing her vehicle against them—all in an attempt to help illegal aliens get away.”

The agency further stated that the agents were conducting an operation targeting criminal illegal aliens, including individuals involved in hit-and-run incidents and drug trafficking, as well as those with final orders of removal. DHS also indicated that Molina could face criminal prosecution for her actions.

“Our officers are experiencing a more than 1,300% increase in assaults against them, a 3,300% increase in vehicular attacks, and an 8,000% increase in death threats. When faced with dangerous circumstances, DHS law enforcement used their training to protect themselves, their fellow officers, and the public,” the spokesperson said.

Political and Community Reaction

Democratic Representative Don Beyer, whose Virginia district encompasses Bailey’s Crossroads, reached out to Molina. He described her in a post on X as “a North Virginia native and a mother” and called for transparency regarding the incident.

“While I am relieved that she is safe, the habitual dishonesty and dangerous and unjustified escalation seen in this video matches what we have seen from ICE agents across the country. This kind of misconduct and threat of force against members of our communities cannot be tolerated,” Beyer said.

Molina expressed her belief that the situation transformed once she began filming, and she emphasized that the agent’s assertion she was trying to run them over was false.

“I think it’s messed up. I don’t think it’s fair that they can sit there and block somebody in and point a gun at your head … I think they should be investigated,” Molina said, adding that any body camera footage should be made public.

The confrontation represents another recent instance where DHS claims have been challenged by video evidence and other documentation. Molina firmly rejected the agency’s version of events.
